Job Function
The purpose of this position is to oversee and provide input to all aspects of software quality assurance. This includes (but is not limited to) responsibility for the development, creation, maintenance and execution of test cases and test plans, as well as analysis of test results. This position will work with other employees to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Specific Position Responsibilities
- Displays clear knowledge of test planning and test design methodologies and their application to the software development life cycle
- Work with management create and implement a formal QA process for I/T department
- Responsible for entire QA process, develop test plans, execute test cases, analyze results and report bugs and errors to development team
- Review, analyze and evaluate business user needs to incorporate into QA process
- Listens effectively and follows work instructions under general direction
- Provides thorough and practical solutions to a variety of complex business problems
- Demonstrates written and verbal skills that meet routine department needs
- Leads peers and subordinates with positive attitude
- Meets assigned task schedules and participates in quality review of own and others work
- Provides quality service in all areas of responsibility
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in computer science preferred
- 2-4 years' experience as a software QA tester or similar role
- Must possess experience as Quality Assurance tester or similar role. Should have experience with automated testing software and ability to document and troubleshoot errors
